RPGs are always funny that way - people (myself included) always seem intent to play the game any way but the way it was intended, becoming insanely powerful through grinding and exploits to make the game's toughest challenges a cakewalk. I'd recommend against using this glitch, or anything like it: Fallout 4 has a nice sense of slow pacing to it, but it's pretty easy to screw it up by just rushing things along or intentionally breaking the game's progression mechanics. If you want to get filthy rich through selling imaginary ammo, you'd better do it quick: I imagine this will be in Bethesda's first hotfix. So if it doesn't work with one, try it with another. I've tested this, and it does work, just not with every vendor. Just don't finalize the trade until you've done everything you want to do. Attached are screenshots of my fallout folder and my mods.
For some reason when I launch none of the mods even deploy. I have all of the mods hardlink deployed inside of the fallout game folder. My fallout 4 game files are located on my d drive. I recently started renovating Abernathy Farms, including all six of the top-tier shops. EDIT: If for some reason you can't get an interaction wheel with a shopkeeper, or can't seem to build a certain shop, try a slightly different spot in your settlement! I couldn't interact with four of my shops in Abernathy and moved them to a different area in Abernathy and they worked.
